Healthtech Ecosystem
Carolina Healthcare Innovation and Technology Alliance or CHITA was created by RevTech Lab's Executive Leaders, Dan Roselli and Nat Clarkson. It is a newly formed non-profit organization and public/private partnership focused on facilitating collaboration between academia, providers, corporates, and government entities to advance healthcare innovation across North and South Carolina. The intent is to share resources between our members to best support health innovators across the region.
Healthcare Innovation
Challenges
Healthcare innovation is limited by insufficient collaboration among governmental, academic and private institutions as well as between those organizations and entrepreneurial companies
Fragmented Coordination – Hinders Success of Regional Innovation
Missing efficient marketplace to form mutually beneficial connections between startups, companies, academic and government institutions – limiting each party’s ability to grow, advance regional innovation, and attract external capital
Limited Individual Scale – Increases Costs and Diminishes Execution Capacity
Lack of coordination and insufficient individual scale leads to partial solutions duplication of effort – increasing cost per stakeholder. Orphaned IP results in lost opportunity and income
