Dave Hunkele
Dave Hunkele is a strategic advisor to Fintech founders and an innovative leader in the banking industry. Dave launched Kreativelabs Consulting in 2017 leveraging his deep experience working inside of SaaS and enterprise software companies as well as financial institutions. Dave previously served as Head of Banking as a Service at Live Oak Bank, where he oversaw Live Oak’s Fintech and ecosystem partner portfolio for digital innovations. He served on senior leadership teams at S1 Corporation (now ACI Worldwide), Bottomline Technologies and Sterling Commerce (an IBM company). Dave has deep expertise in new product launches, sales / business development, partner development, cloud banking and digital transformation. He is passionate about working at the intersection where banking and Fintech meet. Dave also serves as an Executive in Residence for RevTech Labs, Queen City Fintech's accelerator and supports the VMS program as a mentor at the Cabarrus Innovation center. When the Fintech day is over, Dave is typically immersed in the hobby that has taught him a lot of patience – producing one-of-a-kind tables and various other pieces from the trees he mills.
My Story
I enjoy serving RevTech Labs cohorts as an EIR focused on helping founders figure out sales. The energy founders have for their ideas is palpable and I hope to match that energy by supporting the growth of their business. Through the RevTech Labs program we learn from each other and founders gain a resource who is part sounding board, coach and advisor. My ~30 year career has placed me at the intersection of where banking and Fintech meet. I’ve built and sold enterprise and SaaS software solutions to community, regional and global financial institutions and served several Fintech providers in a leadership capacity at all stages of growth-- startup, initial transition to being a public company, working through large acquisitions, and helping mature companies reimagine how they innovate. I’ve worked inside of financial institutions helping them launch new products, build new businesses and advance the transformation of their operations. Simply put, it’s a blast.
